Re: Rip Anthony Geary
I know no one on here will care about this, but General Hospital was on the verge of cancellation in the late 70's, new EP Gloria Monty had 13 weeks to revitalize the show, she hired Tony Geary for the then short 13 week run, the part of Luke Spencer, and the rest is history, Luke and Laura became a national sensation, breaking through the mainstream, no easy feat in those days for a soap. Geary infused Luke with a unique enigmatic, "us against the world" anti establishment charisma. Luke Spencer was the classic anti-hero created in 1978, some twenty years before the advent of the Peak TV classic antihero trope.
