Missing Women
It was a clear bright morning, and planes could be seen following the river to land at the Metro Airport more than two miles away from the Foundation Headquarter's top floor offices, where Diana Duke was being briefed on her next assignment. “The missing women all have the same general profile, young attractive, new to the city with no known close contacts, and they were all aspiring actresses looking for work.” Athena explained.
“Where were they seen last” Diana asked.
“There's no common location, but each one was visiting agent's offices, trying to connect with someone to represent them, and a few were seen working in strip clubs, while they looked for acting jobs.” The Chief then handed her top Investigator the file. “Look this over, and find those women.”
Diana went back to her office, poured a cup of hot coffee, and sat down at the large slate top desk to peruse through the thick folder, staring at the pictures of each missing woman. “I'll find you.” She promised.
Two days later she entered one more actor agency, pretending to resemble the missing girl profile. “Hi, I'm Rachel Montgomery, and I just got into town.” She then went on to explain why she was there.”
“Please take a seat Ms Montgomery and fill out these forms.” The receptionist pointed to a crowded area, which contained several other aspiring actresses.
Looking around the tenth ante-room she'd visited, Diana became a bit discouraged. “This doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere.” However, she took the effort to fill out the false information, and then handed the form back to the pretty blond behind the desk.
After scanning the information, the blond said. “Please have a seat and Mr. Promo will see you in a moment.” Then she rose to go into the inner office.
“Hey Joe, we got another one. She's a real looker.” Grace walked over to the man siting in the swivel chair, and sat on his lap.
“Look out Gracie, you'll topple us over.” He complained, while groping the young woman's finely sculpted breasts. He then scanned the forms with Gracie pawing at him. “Send her in, my love.” They spent a long moment in a passionate wet kiss, and then Gracie left to send Diana into the office.
All the other aspirants look on with envy as Diana was ushered through the inner sanctum door. “Have a seat Ms?” He asked
“Rachel Montgomery from Butte Montana.” Diana responded, and went on to explain what she wanted. After a long interview, Joe Promo advised her that she would need to have the mole on her cheek removed, and then come back to discuss a possible contract. He gave her a card for a local Plastic Surgeon, and bid her good day.
“That was strange.” Diana thought, looking at the business card. “Strange enough to investigate this doctor.” She then went straight to his office. “Hello, my name is Rachel Montgomery and Joe Promo, the film agent, sent me over to see the Doctor.” She looked nervous for effect, as she waited for the receptionist to respond.
“Doc, I've got another Promo referral.” The woman hung up the intercom phone, instructed Diana to have a seat, and within a few minutes brought her a cup of coffee. “Thought you would enjoy this, it might be a long wait.” After setting it down on the table, along with the small sugar and cream containers the woman in white returned to the desk.
“This is a long shot, but what other leads do I have?” Diana sat back in the uncomfortable leather chair, and started to sip the black coffee. Fifteen minutes later, the cup was nearly empty, and Diana started to feel warm. “Could you turn up the Air Conditioner, it's a little warm in here.”
“I'm sorry but it's not working properly, and we've called a repairman.” The Nurse lied to cover the reaction her drug was beginning to have on the new patient.
“Can't seem to focus...Oh no..she drugged me with the coffee.” Diana decided it was time to act before becoming another victim, so she stumbled over to the wash room, and closed the door. Placing her arms in the air, she crossed her wrists and spun in place, creating a flash of light, and then the transformation.
Gracie looked up with a startled expression to see a tall brunette wearing a skimpy red, white, and blue costume standing in front of the desk. “Who are you?” Stuttered the blond Nurse.
“Let's go see the Doctor.” Wonder Lady grabbed the woman's arm and ushered her into the next room, where a young man sat behind a maple desk, smoking a cigar. “The Doctor, I presume.”
“Joe said you were an aspiring actress, but I see you already have a part. Which one of the Super Bimbos are you playing?” He smiled, taking a small brown bottle from the drawer and soaking a gauze pad with the contents, he then stood to confront the strange woman.
“You're not going to try using that on me, are you?” Wonder Lady placed hands on hips, and defiantly stood with her legs apart, concentrating on the good Doctor's actions. “I think you have a lot of questions to ansAAAAGGHHH!” Suddenly the back of her skull exploded with pain, and she reached up to feel the spot, as her knees buckled. Then she fell to the floor, resting on all fours, and looked up to see the Nurse holding a baseball bat. “You'll pay for thaMMMPPHHHH!” Her comment was cut short by the gauze pad thrust against her mouth.
“You'll make a nice prize.” The Doctor placed one hand behind Wonder Lady's head, while holding the gauze pad in place over her mouth, and lifted her up. “Breathe dammit.” He commanded.
However, the Superheroine held her breath, and her strength slowly began to return. “MMRRHHHMM!” She placed both hands on his wrists with the intent of pulling them away from her face, but the Nurse had recovered, staggered over to the struggling heroine, and cracked the bat against her ribs, just under her two major assets. “WWOOMMPH!” The impact caused her to inhale a large dose of the chloroform, and her hands flopped loosely to her sides.
“Now breathe it in, dearie.” The Doctor pulled Wonder Lady close to him, and pressed the gauze even tighter. “You can't fight it, so give in.”
The intrepid heroine heard his words, and knew she had lost. “Jus..a..matter of..time.” Her vision blurred, as she went limp in the man's arms. “Heee's..wonnnn.” Her baby blue eyes rolled up, as the eyelids slowly closed over the resulting white.
“Check the Internet to see what you can find out about this one.” He said, while dragging the limp body over to the rack. He then held her against the metal, and stretched a strap over her neck to support the limp body, when he backed away.
Even though the strap strangled her, Wonder Lady felt nothing, nor did she feel the Doctor pushing up her breasts to place a strap around them. He next secured all four limbs, so that the woman could not move. “There, that should hold you.” He said, and then stood back to admire his latest conquest. “She's sumpin else.”
Wonder Lady hung on the rack, apparently helpless, but slowly recovering from the latest chloroforming. Her ears picked up the Doctor's comment, and then sensation began returning to her arms and legs. Trying not to make any sounds so as to alert the man that she was now awake, wonder Lady concentrated on increasing her strength.
“Doctor, I found out something on the Web about our guest. Seems she's one of those Superheroines with special powers. It listed some of her vulnerabilities....” Nurse Gracie entered the room just in time to see the captive break free from one of her wrist straps. “Uh oh.”
The Doctor witnessed the awesome feat as well, and backed up to grab the gauze pad on the table behind him. The Woman was able to break the other wrist strap, rip away the neck restraint, as well as the strap holding up her breasts before the Doctor rushed to place the chloroform soaked gauze pad over her mouth. “No you don't.” He said, pushing her head against the metal rack.
“MMRRRNNN” In her anger at being continuously drugged, the heroine was about to tear away the foul smelling pad from her face, when the Nurse managed to pull off her golden belt. “OH NOOO!” She felt her massive strength ebb, so that she had no further chance to get rid of the cloth. “Heaven help meee..I can no longer resist.” She lay helpless with the pad firmly over her mouth, so that the fumes entered her nostrils. “I sense that this time I'm truly done for.” She felt her body go limp, and then she slipped into the darkness.
The Nurse held high the belt. “This is one of her vulnerabilities.”
“I need to call Ben Gone about this woman.” The Doctor picked up the phone.

Re: Missing Women
Thank you tmon, and here's part 2
Missing Women Pt2
“Excuse me Athena, but we seem to have a problem.” Minerva, the Chief's secretary entered the office to announce that Wonder Lady had not reported in, and her sister Dru said she did not come home last night.”
“Get me the file of her current investigation and have Christine report to me.” Athena then phoned Dru, and left a message on her answering machine. “Hello Dru. Can you come to my office as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, Wonder Lady was lain on a hard wooden table, her arms stretched over her head, her wrists bound together, and lashed to the end of the table. She kept waking, and after a couple deep breaths of the ether laden mask over her nose and mouth, would returned inevitably to dreamland. “Oooohhh..I c..can't wake uuuup..uhhhh.”
A short stocky man wearing a brown leather jacket leaned over the helpless Wonder Lady and commented. “You're right Doc, she's a marvelous specimen. How much?”
“Fifty thousand.” Replied the Doctor.
“No no, you don't even know what she can do.” Protested Ben Gone. “We need a test.” He thought for a moment and then suggested. “Place that belt on her and then allow the woman to awaken.”
A short time afterward Wonder Lady stirred. “Whew..feel so weak and dizzy.” Her eyes fluttered, trying to stay open, and then she raised her head to look around. “Nobody's here, so perhaps I should leave.” Without much effort, she broke the straps that restrained her, sat on the edge of the table, and then sped right through the closed door, leaving it in pieces. “Where's the Doctor?” The heroine confronted the Nurse.
Gracie looked startled as she peered up at the woman in the skimpy costume. “He's not here right now, please don't hurt me.”
Ben gone had seen enough, so he stepped from behind the screen that hid him from view, and tossed a net in the air, which covered the Superheroine. “WHAT”S THIS!” Trying to free her self from the mesh only entangled her more, until she ripped it open and stepped through it.
“That was quite impressive.” Ben Gone remarked, causing Wonder Lady to spin around. “You just cost me fifty thousand dollars.” He complained and then fired two projectiles at the Super Woman, who easily met them with her bracelets. Exploding on impact, they created a large gray cloud that Wonder lady walked through to get to her attacker.
Grabbing the man by his shoulders, the heroine attempted to toss him against the wall, but suddenly felt too weak. “What..happened?” She stared at the man and sank to her knees in front of him as her vision became nothing but a blur. “Ooohh..hellp..meee.” Ben leaned over, placed his hands on both sides of her head to turn that lovely face upwards, and then planted a big kiss on her full red lips. “NNMMMMMM!” She protested vehemently, but then felt herself slipping away. Ben allowed the nearly unconscious Wonder Lady to slump awkwardly to the floor, where she lay in a crumpled heap, moaning softly.
“Ya gotta deal Doc.” He bent down to grab one of the woman's arms, lifted the limp body, and roughly tossed her over his shoulder. “I'll take her to my place and do some experiments.” Before leaving the building, Ben turned to add. “Get any more like this, let me know.”
In the meantime, Athena was briefing Christine Belford, one of the City's top prosecutors as well as a Foundation agent, to bring her up to date on the missing Foundation agent. “Wonder Lady was investigating the rash of missing women and now has turned up missing herself.” Athena gave Christine the file.
“I'll get right on it Chief.” After assuring the Chief that she would do everything possible to find Wonder Lady, Christine went back to her office to review the file, and then hurried to Diana Dukes apartment. Dru Duke was either at work or had reported to Athena, because the apartment was empty, and so Christine proceeded to check the latest entries on their desk top computer, to find that Diana listed a visit to an agent called Joe Promo, agent to the Starlets. “Perhaps I'll start with him.” She mused, and then saw a business card on the desk. 'The Doctor, Cosmetic Surgery, Specializing in Facial Reconstruction, with an address, but no phone number. “This is odd.” Fingering the card, she thought. “There's no notation about the Doctor on the computer, so what's the significance of the business card?” Later that afternoon, Christine in her guise as Mezmera crept through the courtyard to the entrance of the brick portico, where she saw a sign on the brick post...'Cosmetic Surgery, Specializing in Facial Reconstruction'...”This must be the place.” She then proceeded along to the large oak door, tried the loop shaped handle, found it open and went inside. There was a hallway with a sign on an iron pedestal that read 'The Doctor is in, Suite 101' with an arrow pointing down the hall.
“Do you have an appointment?” The Nurse inquired of the woman in the green leotard, who entered the office and strode towards the reception desk.
“No, but I really don't need one.” Mezmera responded as she made direct eye contact with the unsuspecting Nurse. She entered the woman's mind to read her recent memory. “Aha, Diana was here.” She saw the Nurse drug Diana's coffee, and then saw Wonder Lady appear. “Ouch, that must have hurt.” Almost feeling the bat against the heroine's head, Mezmera then witnessed the chloroforming, as well as the following confinement. “Who is that?” The man, who left with Wonder Lady slung over his shoulder seemed familiar. “I've seen him before”...after a minute's concentration, she let go of the Nurse, leaving her in a trance. “He was in the paper, showing the latest relics from a major archaeological dig. They call him The Curator.” She then cofidently strode from the office, knowing where to look next...The Metro City Museum.
A few minutes later the Doctor entered from the inner office and inquired. “Gracie, did I hear someone in the office.” Then noticing the Nurse in some sort of trance, the Doctor ran back into his office to view the security tapes of the last few minutes. “Wow, who is that? He remarked, watching the tall beautiful woman with long red tresses, wearing a green skin tight leotard, tight fitting black boots , matching arm length gloves, and a black mask, walk over to the Nurse. “It appears she learned something, but what?” He then phoned a ma he referred to as Willie. “What can you tell me about a Foundation agent who has red hair and wears a green leotard?” He then listened intently.
“You don't want to mess with that one.” Willie declared. “She's as strong as an Ox, has intensified senses of hearing, smell, and sight. Can read minds, and is ruthless.” He quickly hung up, not wishing to get involved.
“She's going after Ben Gone.” He surmised, and then thought. “What a prize she would make.”
