1968 Batgirl Photomanipulations

First of all, I'd just like to point out that my editing skills is not good. Hahaha.
With that, I'd like to share this little photoedit compilation of Batgirl in distress.

Image

For the fans of the 60s TV series, you might recognise these scenes --A helpless Batgirl being manhandled by various strong men, and one of her being chained in Lord Fogg's Dungeon. Only this time, the villains went the extra mile as to remove the thing most important to her: the Utility Belt.

Its my very first time editing, and I dislike some of the outcomes, but I decided to post them up anyway, since I've spent a lot of effort in these. For the record, I don't own any professional photo editing applications such as Photoshop or anything related along that line. These four pictures are done using.... Microsoft Paint!, and color-edited using an online site providing free editing service.

Comments and criticism (new suggestions or even hate replies) are welcome.

That's cool. I envy you then. My copies are all average-quality at most. May I request some stills in the future if I need some clear shots? #-o

Me too. I've seen a handful of behind-the-scenes, black & white photos of the episode, "The Joke's On Catwoman", especially shots of Batgirl being trapped in the Cat's Whiskers, which got me thinking... did they really plan to take lots of shots of Yvonne tied up in the Cat's Whiskers twine? Lots of Cat's Whiskers shots (from different angle) pops up on eBay at one point of time, but I've yet to see something similar with other perils, such as the Dungeon or Rocket, to name a few.

That sounds like something I would very much be involved in :-D Heck, if I were the director I'd spend all week tying Yvonne up in a hundred positions I can think of. Imagine a full week of Batgirl bondage...enough to last me a lifetime

Oh, count me in, too.

Would be great if there were photoshoots of Bat-Traps, no? :D There's always official photoshoots of our heroine standing tall, spreading her cape, looking very stunning. They should have thought of making a proper shoot for traps as well (since the main flow in every story was to track down a villain, got trapped, miraculously escaped, and finally apprehended the villain to end the story) -- a Trap is part-n-parcel of classic Batman.

Would love to see a nice, clear studio shot titled "The Pattern Cutter!", or "Cat's Whiskers!", instead of these rare black-n-white or behind-the-scene pics. But I guess these will be good enough for now. Whoever the person was, who managed to get various shots of Batgirl bound in the Cat's Whiskers, must have taken advantage of the episode for having such a storyline/peril, that he got ready to get random shots when the trap was being filmed (or being rehearsed) Haha. :-D

Thank you Yvonne for being a being such a good sport in filming traps and for showcasing amazing acting skills in being a classic damsel in distress. Her facial expressions and body language in Bat-Traps really made that final season more interesting to watch.

Thumbs up for your praise of Yvonne's acting abilities. It's rather amazing how she didn't make it corny but more sexy and intriguing. I know her petite, curvy body helped, but still;)

It's really disappointing that the show got such low ratings. Sure the structure for almost all episodes were the same, but look at Power Rangers. And I read from wiki that Batgirl was introduced to attract more female viewers, which is odd because surely it is guys like me who would be glued to the screen seeing her struggle in those tights(batgirl69 might be an exception lol).

Yeah, female viewers were attracted by her ability to solve problems and catch villains (either by herself or alongside the great Dynamic Duo), but I'm pretty sure the male viewers ain't so much attracted to an episode by how she was going to capture bad guys, but how the bad guys were going to capture her instead.

And I'm pretty sure batgirl1969 would cosplay a great Yvonne's Batgirl.

Oh, thank you. :) I like to make short avatar animations for fun.

I was planning to make one of Helen Slater for you, but I'm not sure what kind of scenes you'd prefer. Can't seem to find something that's interesting on Youtube. Are there any Helen/Supergirl peril clips laying around?

That skirt gif you made will do, bio...it is quite possibly the best scene in the whole film. There was another scene where Kara returns from a fight and runs into the matron, who reprimands her and flips up her skirt...but we saw nothing  From a superheroine peril lover's POV, that movie was a huge disappointment...it had so much potential. The producers should have consulted the makers of the Batman series and added some bondage scenes! :)
