Darkwing: Flying Solo

First I will give the warning of spoilers if you choose to read this review. I will go into detail about a few things, but it will not be a blow by blow.

Now that that is out of the way I will get to the review.

I was not going to buy this video at first, because I find that it turns me on the most to watch the heroine sexually dominated and shamed after losing the fight. However Yvonne has such a wonderful voice and looked amazing in costume, I figured I would give it a go. The movie starts with Yvonne (Darkwing) coming home and getting an email that displays WW's final moments alive. (I assume this was from the previous video many have raved about. I have not seen it.) She suits up and charges into battle to take down Mace (a familiar looking villain). The fight scenes are pretty exciting and Darkwing gets her blows in before the battle is over. The main fight begins and as I am sure you all know she does not win, which is why we buy these videos right? ;)

Here are a few things that I felt took me out of the scene. (keep in mind I got the extreme version)

1) While you are being chocked to the point of death, you can't gasp and moan. If you are being choked to death no air can escape what so ever. Not a horrible thing as this is all play, but my mind became distracted by it.

2) The choking scene went on much longer than anyone could endure. I would suggest the villain releasing the rope in a taunting fashion before continuing if you want a long choke scene. This can also build up anxiety and leave hope of her survival.

3) Lastly, I went into this video knowing there would be no sex scene (real or fake) so I was not disappointed when it did not show. However, I liked the video so much I found myself demanding that the scene be added. lol if it had had the scene it would have been an instant favorite of mine. I like to put myself in the superheroine's place and it is a huge turn on for me.

On the flip side

1) Costume was wonderful, Yvonne was stunning, and the villains all performed greatly

2) The over all feel of the video was dark and much like the movies we see in theaters today. Major plus!

3) The locations were brilliantly selected and my favorite bit was Darkwing as she slid down the rope. Very nice touch!

In conclusion, I feel that Blue with Bluestone Video Productions has began a wonderful series and I can only eagerly wait for my favorite superheroine, Supergirl.

Thanks for the review, sorry there was no sex scene in it, we just don't do that, as for the strangling scene, it's for the strangling fetish people and it is fantasy we are dealing with, but I get what you are saying. Thanks again.
I can respect that. :) I think I will check out Wondra so I can have the full effect. Many have asked comparison of the two and I can't offer that lol

Unfortunately, online piracy is getting incredibly out-of-hand with SHiP videos. I've seen size-reduced copies of DARKWING on the file-sharing sites. The only reason I saw it at all was that I was looking for the final season of Darkwing Duck and it popped up on my radar.

I wish you luck in stopping the online piracy. Long-awaited videos often have that sort of built-in viewing audience just waiting to download it for free. :(

One thing might be to make the video so long that it becomes infeasible to put on rapidshare. But then you're talking gigs of downloads.

Um... isn't the pursuit of episodes of Darkwing Duck (which is owned by Disney) on file sharing sites ALSO pirating? Just curious. When did Darkwing Duck fall into public domain?

Hey Blue, you don't have a PM button. Looks like you might have that feature turned off.

I already own the series on DVD, but there's one episode from the third season that was never re-aired after it's initial airing, called HOT SPELLS. It had some sensitive material about religious figures and Disney pulled it almost immediately after airing. I own every episode BUT that one, and Disney has made it clear that they're never going to release it on their own because of the sensitive content, so I keep looking for a copy of that one episode anywhere I think someone might have a copy videotaped from the original airdate.

Just like you will not see them rerelease "Song of the South" either...even though they used the song on their opening credits for years.

Hey Mr. X,

PM button has been selected and I have been receiving pm's. Just didn't check this thread out until today.

Thanks for the review and comments.

Too bad you didn't get the Non-Extreme version which didn't have the extended strangulation.

I will take all of your comments under advisement... except for the Darkwing Duck comments. I refuse to sell out to Disney... unless the price is right!
