Re: Ice bucket challenge

It's a good concept, but any video which uses Zeitgeisty stuff such as the Ice Bucket Challenge would need to be shot and released quickly before the fad passes.

Re: Ice bucket challenge

I like the concept and would like to expand on it.

The heroine shows up for a charity event to do a stunt (ice bucket, show of power etc.) Once she's done the host/hostess starts to offer small gestures as stretch goals for the charity. At first they are innocent enough, pose for pictures, sign autographs but has the show goes on they become more demanding and erotica. Eventually the heroine wants to stop it but the host has already done something to prevent the heroine from crying out "no" or leaving. The audience is to enthralled to stop it and the money keeps coming in. By the end the show gets a call, a wealthy contributer is offering a donation for everytime they can make the heroine orgasm.
At the end the host picks up the defeated heroine, thanks everyone for their money and helping them trick the heroine to come on and allow them to take advantage of her.

:hmmm:
Not really - I mean afterall, none of us would be watching it for the challenge itself, but for the perils it puts our heroine in. So does it really matter if it's topical or not?
It's just a device to dupe the hero. I couldn't care less if it was current or not if the movie was well done, with some actress and character I liked in sexy danger. I mean we are suspending disbelief to accept these characters have superpowers, is it too much to be asked to believe the vid might be set 4 months ago or 3 years ago etc whenever the fad was, in relation to the vid being made?
;)
I think it's a nice idea., a nice change from nutjob fan wins a contest

Re: Ice bucket challenge

Looking at it logically, I guess it wouldn't be a huge problem. This may sound totally irrational, but I'm personally sometimes put off by videos which were obviously shot a while ago. The psychological barrier being the suspicion that it must be a "second tier" release if it's been sat on a producer's shelf for months or years.

Recent fads can be difficult to set in a historical context. For example, a video with a current model dancing the Macarena or the Hustle or the Twist* would clearly be set in a previous era. However, a video with a model dancing Gangnam Style would just look like something that was done a couple of years ago and forgotten about. Likewise, a character wearing a "Vote Dukasis" badge would tell us our story is set in 1988 while a character wearing a "Vote Romney" badge would just make the video look like something that was shot in 2012 but deemed too low priority to be released at the time. Old enough to look dated, but too recent for nostalgia.

Having said all that waffle, a girl in a tight costume getting soaked does have a timeless quality. :D

*This is just hypothetical, of course. Getting the rights to use any of those songs in a fetish video would cost a fortune.

Re: Ice bucket challenge

I understand you but the preview pics/trailer would be the selling point surely rather than judgement of it being old therefore it might be inferior. Plus I suppose one line from the producer saying we shot this last month or even a line of dialogue saying to the hero something like 'Remember the ice bucket challenge for Charity from a while back? Well we're trying to kick it off again but purely with public icons, can you help us out?' and it's problem solved.

One last thing-
To paraphrase Darth Vader, I find your lack of quality music numbers disturbing.... :D

Motorhead forever!

Re: Ice bucket challenge

I always loved that scene in Batman where the Joker dupes Batman into posing then dumps plaster all over him.
