The Batfetish is for me the best choice of erotic fetish. Of course many people can`t understand why a TV Show in the 60`s can satisfy you. Lets say it clear the Batman show, was a BDSM show. What it makes special are the sexy costume, the extremly campy style and the comedy style. It is also very unlogic, quirky and unrealistic. But that gives you a new way of eroticfantasys. Why so serious? Why don`t create the fetish in a way like the classic batman show. The Fetish is so much more intelligent as the hollow black BDSM. There are much scary erotic fetish, where you can say that the Batfetish ( Herofetish) is much more intelligent, stylish and class of its own. The problem is we are no VIPS or industrie who realise the enormous potential of this fetish. But when the erotic industrie would realise it, our way of erotic would extremly grow. Because it shows the erotic fetish in a way where the most people never thought.

You can make two things equal by raising up the thing that's less or tearing down the thing that is more. It is far easier to tear down than it is to build up. So to get some groups accepted one can either build them up OR they can tear down the existing groups so both appear equal.

Simply put, anything heterosexual men enjoy is now labelled evil, exploitative and must be banned. A batgirl in peril is enjoyable to the "bad" heterosexual men so it must be banned so that other sexual "likes" can be accepted.

I would say, it is simply extremyl funny, campy, ridicolous. Any kind logic is deactivated. It gives you a new way erotic fantasys. A world where you can be so campy and it accepted as normal. Especially for conservative people it is an intresting way to live out their sexual fantasys like they want. Because the campy and gay style ( not sexual meaning) is " normal".

I do like the playful or absurd qualities. I assume, from the quoted post and some of your earlier postings on similar topics, that the key influence for you is the 1966 Batman television series...? The broader hero(ine) fetish could encompass a great deal more than that, and seems to, for many. Superheroes in comics have been interpreted many, many ways, over the years, from the somewhat gritty beginnings, to more childlike and playful (the main influence on the "camp" TV show), then on to rather dark and grim versions. My personal favorite is the simplified, cartoon-like take of the '66 show.

I assume by "conservative" you refer to a political preference, or perhaps a liking for the more straight-laced world presented by '66 Batman? That seems to be the appeal for many fans. As opposed to the way one might call someone "conservative" and merely mean that they have a reserved personality or nature. I think perhaps the colorful, theatrical qualities of Batman's world stand out more boldly against the backdrop of the orderly, clean-cut world presented on the show than they do in some other interpretations of Batman (such as the movies or The Animated Series) or superheroes in general. If a society in which "everything goes" is presented in a story, a costumed hero may seem less striking or unusual. Certainly the appeal of the show and its aesthetic is not limited to social or political conservatives, however.

I'm curious about how others became interested in something like this "bat-fetish". I was hooked between the ages of four and six, when I first saw the Batman show and the Filmation cartoons. I recall clearly that my first exposure was one the Lundinium episode with Batgirl chained up in the dungeon. I didn't understand why or how this had a huge influence on me until years later, but I was almost immediately hooked on superheroes. The seventies were good years to become interested in this sort of thing, and I secretly thrilled every time Batgirl or Wonder Woman appeared on TV, or I could find a comic featuring either. So the whole thing carries a somewhat childlike quality for me, a sense of wonder. The appeal of SHIB was mysterious to me for a long time, which perhaps leads me to favor a slightly surreal quality in SHIB scenarios. I am curious about how you or others may have become interested.

I think they knew that its what they're going to do ever since the premiere of the show, knowing that it will keep people coming back for more. Kids love the many colorful costumes and props, while the adults love.... the hidden sexual undertones. haha. In "Catwoman's Dressed To Kill", an episode which I think focuses a lot on bondage, Catwoman's buzzsaw trap is like a 10x upgraded version of the Riddler's buzzsaw trap which could be seen in the first season. Unlike Robin who was unconscious in Riddler's buzzsaw trap, Batgirl was wide awake during the entire ordeal, and roughly manhandled from start to finish. They could have just re-enact the same scene -- to have Batgirl unconscious throughout the trap and let the buzzsaw do its work; but no.... lets spice it up with some bondage!



In most cases, after Batman & Robin got captured/netted/gassed, the scene will just cut and jump straight to the trap scene, with our heroes already tied up and waiting for the usual cliffhanger. So its quite a delight to see Catwoman's henchman working on a helpless Batgirl -- from the gagging, to the carrying, and to the strapping down. If only it was continued for a little longer, just to see how he actually got Batgirl's hands behind her back after laying her down on the conveyor belt.

The guy must be thinking: I'm so glad I was chosen to play henchman in this episode.
