I need a bit of comics knowledge from those of you Marvel fans to produce my next story - it's a real hot one involving Wonder Woman and Invisible Woman, but there's only one problem. I need for there to be an obvious, overpowering, and unique weakness for Sue, something akin to Kryptonite for Superman and removal of power belt/chaining of bracelets for Wonder Woman.
I've heard that the Fantastic Four have gotten their powers neutralized/removed a number of times, but not being a FF fan, I'm not familiar with any of them. Could anyone name some of those instances? Please?

Re: Anyone familiar with Invisible Woman/the FF?
Back in the early days of the FF, when the Invisible Woman created a force field to protect herself, too much force could eventually cause her to collapse from exhaustion from maintaining it.
Re: Anyone familiar with Invisible Woman/the FF?
I think anything that blocks the power cosmic will take away her powers. The skrulls routinely put devices around their necks to cancel out the power.
Re: Anyone familiar with Invisible Woman/the FF?
Visitor has a good point. Her force fields were not invincible. She could only maintain them for so long and any force applied against them caused her fatigue. On those occasions when someone broke through her force field, she felt the effects physically, and I think there were even cases where she passed out. So you could have someone or something break through one of her fields with tremendous force, thus knocking her out, and then put a power-dampening collar of some sort on her.
Re: Anyone familiar with Invisible Woman/the FF?
As the forcefields need her concentration to be maintained, a targeted sonic weapon would solve the problem...heck, she may feel other effects from it to. Anything from crushing orgasms to loss of bladder control. The FF villain Klaw always had fun with her.

Dear Omega Woman,
I am an OLD fan of the Invisible Girl, from long long ago in the late 1960s when she did not seem to have any particular weakness or vulnerability, because she was just plain weak all the time! All she could do was disappear--not much use once somebody like Namor has a grip on her, a situation I've found worth pondering at length ...

Marvel eventually built up her force-field powers to a more impressive level, but it seems that having to concentrate remains a weak link for her. If she gets distracted, her force-shield or telekinetic constructs could collapse like a house of cards. I'm thinking if she were forced to wear some kind of neuro-disruptor collar, or maybe got mildly drugged, it would throw her off enough to prevent her from focusing.
Best wishes for your story!
