Hello all,
I just came across this site. It looks like a wonderful place to perhaps get some advice, both from the members and the producers.
My Slave and I are thinking of dabbling with the genre of 'Heroine Demise' as a stimulus for our photography shoots.
The thing is, entering into the realm of Superheroines really makes me want to also start developing my skills at the usage of Photoshop (CS3). My query is this - does anyone know of any good CS3 guides? I tried looking around, but there is just so much out there, and I am not really sure what kind of processes are involved when taking subjects and playing around with their elements.
The kind of processes that I am thinking about is kind of summarized on the video below:
I would love to be able to transfer my artistic impressions into a digital arena like this, but I have no idea where to start.
Anyone got any good sources? Or perhaps know of some good artists that I could perhaps get in contact with?

Nicely done. I know nothing about such things so I can't help but it looks good and wish you the best of luck with your endeavours .
How strange are the ways of the gods ...........and how cruel.

Abaddon, check your private message box for a few bits of wisdom on how to tackle photoshop and a shameless plug
.
Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
Thanks for the replies guys, and Ezekiel, many thanks for your explicit advice.
I will return your message soon. Got a lot of work on this week.
I hope to try my hand at a few of these processes and get your feedback.
It is a hobby I really want to get into and of course, want to have some fun with my Slave at the same time.

Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
Here is a picture of my slave. As you can see, she is Japanese.
Which superheroines do you think suit an Asian model?
I am now at the stage of thinking which heroines to try out. We already have a Wonderwoman costume and a female Iron Man. I love Supergirl. I plan demise for all these three.
Looking at her, what other heroines do you think would be a good match?

Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
I know this totally sucks, but I am just playing around with the features and thought I would upload my first play around.

Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
I was just trying to remove the subject from the original background and place it on another background. In future I will know to have her pose with a light background. Not a successful transfer. Just a play around.
Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
I have to learn the craft of photography and processing at the same time. Makes it all the more difficult, but at least it's a new hobby for us.

Re: Superheroine Artist in the Making
Anyone wanting to see more from the shoot, send me a PM.

I will keep trying a few things out in the meantime.
