What happened to the forum?

Wow! All that cool modification is gone and its just the stock phpBB. What happened?

I really, really hope they're still in the process of revamping the place, and this is just a passing phase that we're allowed to post in for some reason. The HW twitter said they had some super-big surprise for us once the site was done revamping.

I miss the black background already. It made everything look eviler.

Everything is coming back. The old style is coming back, the banners, everything.

I wanted to start with a fresh install because there are a lot of cool new features that I wanted to take advantage of. You should see the old look of the forum in a couple of days. Just bear with it and I think you'll like the new usability. For example, uploading images and files will be infinitely better. I will be compiling a list of added features in the next few days.

One question: will the board's post counter start counting posts accurately now?

Have you/will you solve the lack of views appearing in mobile versions of the site? It's largely irrelevant except in the stories section. (If you remember you were going to see if you reordered the views/posts counts it might make a difference, but had put it off as it was possibly a big job)

Then I think Im actually going to keep this design as an option. So if maybe your browser or computercan't handle the darker theme, which definitely had more code to it, then at least you will be able to view the forum with this theme. I'm glad you mentioned it.

In short, you will have a choice of themes.


Also this design is mobile ready. So you can view it on your phone and tablet.

I think it's best to have choices. I liked the darker theme, but to have options is always nice.

I didn't know how much I valued the black background until I lost it. I'm going to go stand outside the black background's bedroom window with a boom box until it takes us back - wish me luck.

I agree about the background. I am looking foward to getting the forum colors back to the way they were.
