Plot: Taking a much needed vacation from her months of being defeated at the hands of villainous rogues, Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman is relaxing when she gets a call from the Chief of Police. The Chief has called to warn her that a ‘Gremlin’ is on the loose and there’s a chance that it might be coming for her. Diana tells the Chief she’ll look into the matter, but dismisses the claim as pure ‘nonsense’, believing it to be nothing more than a fairy tale. However, when an invisible force pushes her into the swimming pool, Diana begins to suspect that she’s not alone.
And pretty soon, the Amazing Amazon finds herself under attack by something that she can’t see or catch. ‘Hey…you don’t suppose…nah! But…could it be that Diana is being attacked by a…gremlin?’
Quick Pick (Thoughts on the Film): Well, I must say this folks, just when I think Christina Carter’s imagination can’t get any stranger or zanier, she once again proves me wrong with this tidbit. I purchased this based on a recommendation from a friend and I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I purchased this from clips4sale. Needless to say, ‘Wonder Woman vs. the Gremlin’ goes waaaay outside the scope of usual damsel in peril style vids but they do it in a comical way. When my homegirl heard the ‘Merrie Melodies’ theme playing (she loves Looney Tunes like me) she was shocked to find the C.C. Production logo instead of the W.B. logo on the screen and the first thing she said was, ‘Whaaaaat? Christina Carter is in a Merrie Melodies production?’ So she grabbed two small bags of white cheddar popcorn and we decided to watch this flick together, curious to see what made Christina choose Looney Tunes as the basis for this project.
I’m gonna go ahead and take a guess that this idea of Christina’s was based on the episode ‘Falling Hare’. Those who are familiar with Bugs Bunny will remember the premise for that act: Bugs runs afoul of a diminutive little gremlin at an airport and the annoying little creature proceeds to make Bugs' life miserable, wreaking havoc on him around the airfield as well as while inside an airplane that’s flying without a pilot! That’s pretty much the same premise with this C.C. production, except Christina’s not in an airplane but she is the victim (when is she not?) of attack by a gremlin that’s in her home.
As someone who enjoys productions that pay homage to other earlier productions, I have to admit that this vid had a lot going for it and to see a fetish model performing something that’s aimed at the early cartoon era was truly a surprise for me. So I guess you could say Christina struck gold with this production.
Pros
-As I said before, this is an excellent homage to the ‘Merrie Melodies’ and ‘Looney Tunes’ cartoon era. I must say, I’ve seen lots of productions that pay homage to certain other works in media but this right here was a real treat to behold. Honestly, I never really took Christina for a cartoon lover.
-Excellent area that they filmed this fetish vid in: they’ve got some good outdoor scenes of Christina by the pool relaxing as well as inside the house where most of the action takes place.
-Loved that Wonder Woman bikini Christina has on and I loved the way she has her hair in that high ponytail too.
-Christina is a one-woman show in this vid. She’s constantly breaking the ‘fourth wall’ talking to the audience just like Bugs Bunny did in ‘Falling Hare’ and doing all sorts of zany antics during the story. I didn’t know whether to be turned on or just to start laughing…honestly, part of me was laughing and so was my homegirl when we saw her performance in this. Brilliance, sheer brilliance from Miss Carter. Christina’s agitation at being bested by the gremlin was really funny too.
-Lots of props were used in this vid: from books, to vinyl bats, matches, a hypnotic glass ball and so forth.
-The cinematography and camera angles were very impressive. Masterpiece of directing and the editing was top notch also (as well you’d expect from a Christina Carter production).
-Magnificent sound effects for this vid also! That was the biggest selling point for me: they treat everything in this vid like a real ‘Merrie Melodies’ cartoon. Head bonks, red-alert alarms (before Christina collapses from getting beaned over the head by the gremlin), whomp-whomps, wicked chuckling, mischievous laughter etc. The audio editors really went all out for this vid. Hell, even the voice of the gremlin sounds comical: don’t know who voiced the gremlin, but they deserved a raise.
-This vid is pretty much dedicated to ‘knockout’ fetish. I mean, Christina is constantly getting bopped upside the head more times than I can count, complete with close-ups of her crystal blue eyes being cross-eyed. And every time she does, she does this finger dribble over her lips to show that she’s gotten the absolute sense knocked out of her. Classic Merrie Melodies! (although, this becomes a bit of a ‘con’ later which I’ll explain)
-Christina also gets her foot set on fire via matches between her toes, gets shoved into a swimming pool, struck in the ankle via vinyl bat. Poor girl gets all sorts of havoc wreaked on her.
-Some fun snappy dialogue in this vid also. For example, when Christina wakes up from getting bopped over the head:
Diana (breaking fourth wall): Say, you don’t think that…no. It couldn’t be, could it? No, no. But it could be a…(whispers)…gremlin?
Gremlin (off-screen): Well it ain’t Batman, baby!
Or when Christina takes another blow to the head:
Gremlin: You okay lady? Speak to me!
Diana (half-dazed): I’m only three and a half years old. (rubs finger over her lips before she passes out again)
We cracked up at that part: would’ve worked a little better though if she had imitated the ‘child-like’ voice like Bugs Bunny did in that scene, but all in all, still funny.
-As comical as this production is, Christina still has time to bare her cleavage for all to see and still has time to engage in her favorite all time fetish: bondage, but only near the end.
Cons
-Christina’s acting is pretty good, but other times it kinda felt like she was forcing herself to do certain things. Like during the scenes where she chuckles to herself, that looked a little more forced than genuine. Also, certain scenes where she appears agitated looks real but other times forced, like when she says, “When I find you, I’m gonna murderize, you gremlin!” It’s like she’s trying to stay in her own character while trying to emulate Bugs Bunny. Sometimes that works but other times it doesn’t.
-Christina went a little overboard with the finger-dribbling scenes. She does it way too often and sometimes she doesn’t do it quite well enough, just partially good.
-Wasn’t feeling the ‘rooster’ scene or the ‘shadowboxing’ scene when Christina was under hypnosis. That part just seemed a little *too* silly for my taste.
-The bondage scene appeared in the last five minutes of the vid…way too late.
-Not being able to see the gremlin was fun but it would’ve been nice to see another fetish performer playing the part of the gremlin. Tomiko Madoff would’ve been perfect to play the gremlin as she is well-versed in playing silly characters when she’s at her clips4sale store or at Heroine Universe. Either her or Miss Quin (the fetish clown performer).
-Semi-downer ending. Won’t say what happens but it had me saying, ‘Aw come on man! Don’t end the story like that!’
Final Outcome
Well I must say, Christina’s imagination really has taken a turn for the zany. What’s next, one has to wonder? I mean, if she can do homage like this to cartoons then that means she’s capable of doing homage from anything. I wonder if she’d do scene re-enactments from other shows or films like ‘Teen Wolf’, ‘Batman Returns’ the ‘Ninja’ films by Sam Firstenberg, My Little Pony (not sure how that would work if she did it), Ducktales,…or maybe she could do a performance as one of the ‘Bond Girls’? Anything is possible with homages and despite a few cons in this vid, I have to give credit for the C.C. Production crew for their hard work as this vid was very entertaining.
Final Score for ‘Wonder Woman vs the Gremlin’: 10 out of 10!
