Every story requires a counterpoint of sorts. This is ours. A nameless old bureaucrat in a tired old office somewhere in Beijing. China’s Central Committee has charged this specific bureaucrat to do the impossible with next to no assistance. He must keep track of any and all citizens of China who may have inherited the genetic gifts from the Minoans brought to them centuries before the birth of Christ.
He now turns his attention to the untimely death of Jun’s boyfriend and what he accomplished in university.
