It's not just a "private group" - the lawsuit is a public matter being decided in the courts, and the so-called "private group" is anyway one of the largest professional associations in the U.S., so it goes to indicate "ideological capture" on a scale even the universities can't match. It only takes a handful of "DEI officials" at a large institution to chain the entire organization down to rules that violate the 1st Amendment.

The American Association of Realtors represents 1.5 MILLION MEMBERS. Don't you think maybe at least half of them (and probably more than that!) aren't interested in woke rules from the top down (I guarantee you they weren't voted on by the rank-and-file) constraining what they can and can't say on social media. Many of these realtors work in red suburbs or red states, I'm sure. Thus, something like this stands as a *test case* for what all of them can or cannot say in public. That seems rather momentous to me - it doesn't to you?

If you are using social media where you are promoting business, and you are mentioning or identifying with a national organization that you are a paying member of, you are subject to their rules. The real estate industry has a huge foot print of bad acts involving racist practices. Things like red lining and racial and religious covenants, long after they were made illegal. They have an absolute right to exclude members that violate the TOS. You can get kicked off the NRA websites and discussion boards, too. You can get kicked off Truth Social and Twitter (X). Private groups, regardless of size can dictate terms.

Speaking of dicks, those are something you will not be seeing in Florida starting in January. Pornhub is withdrawing from Florida because of the onerous age verification laws. They don't want to be responsible for collecting sensitive information about users in the state.

As tiny woke minorities, educated in just the proper places, take over every hobby, every industry and every professional association,
all you need to do is sit back and spout the party line: "a private [insert here] can do whatever it wants." And then you're automatically absolved

Sneakly, you don't solve 'redlining' or any other discriminatory problem by abrogating freedom of speech in TOS.

But it's not irrelevant. The collusion of corporate control with government control is one of the main elements of both fascism *and* socialism.
And make no mistake, this is government control (the Twitter Files proved this, among other things) because there is a group of policymakers
in the government itself hellbent on imposing these policies.
If they can get huge private organizations and association to impose restrictive speech policies without having to apply much pressure, all the better for their agenda. It's just that much for them to surveil and control our lives.

When the Labour government finally got in it turned out that their first priority wasn't to remove the laws that banned people from being massively racist and calling for violence on social media. But it's still not their fault that's the law.
