Take it Down act
Take it Down act
Not sure how accurate this is but the prudes on the right are now wanting all AI images of celebrities in sexy or sexual situations taken down under penalty of jail time.

Yeah, it was introduced by Ted "Cancun" Cruz who likes Cory Chase, mommy incest films. Oh, and let's not forget the Speaker of the House, Mike "Neo-Nazi" Johnson who uses a creepy spying app to track his son's phone for porn.

Do you think there has been any celebrity who's AI image has been used in a sexual situation more than Queen Lynda?
Re: Take it Down act
Oh, most definitely. A large part of the population doesn't even know who Lynda Carter is or has long forgotten her. Most people aren't like us!
I'd say AOC would probably be at the top of the Rule34 list, followed by a handful of well-known current actresses like Sydney Sweeney.
Imagine the army of thirsty male millennials and zoomers at Alexandria's sexual command.
Alex Stein put it best! (nobody can resist a Big Booty Latina)
Oh, and speaking of censorship - there's lefty censorship in the American South too.
I just watched a video about a professional realtor in Virginia who was fined $15,000 by the American Association of Realtors for 'hate speech' (that organization went hella woke a little while back) on a social media post for defending traditional marriage. The question is whether that fine will be upheld in a public Virginia court, which might depend on the jurisdiction.

Don't even attempt that "equally bad on both sides" bullshit. You can shove that propaganda where the sun don't shine. That garbage has nothing to do with the topic. Your attempt to build a straw-man argument is duly noted.
The topic is about invasion of privacy, legislating morality and government overreach.
It's ironic, the people who claim to want less government control are the ones who repeatedly vote for policies to enact authoritarian government controls.

While I have no faith in the right, I'll take this over the left and their arresting people for mean tweets like they are in Britain.
Both groups just use different framing. The left labels everything hate. The right labels everything as degenerate.
At the core its the same group they just use different power bases. The woke are the church ladies.

You can only act freely if you are doing what they want.
Elon Musk bought Twitter to "end censorship." But mow censors accounts that don't follow his agenda or criticize him. Trump threatens lawsuits against anyone that puts him in a bad light including pollsters.
A few years ago Kathy Griffin was investigated by the Secret Service and vilified for a picture with knife to Trump's head. However several Republicans have aired ads showing them shooting at Democrats including the president with no repercussions.

You can calm down and stop being so sanctimonious, calling things "propaganda" and "garbage", which is certainly not any words that I've used on my end to describe anyone or anything on this Forum. Actually, maybe I've called a shitty comic book or TV show "garbage" a couple times, since there were a handful that probably deserved it...HiDef wrote: ↑1 year agoThat is from a private group who can set up any rules they want for its members.shevek wrote: ↑1 year ago

It's not just a "private group" - the lawsuit is a public matter being decided in the courts, and the so-called "private group" is anyway one of the largest professional associations in the U.S., so it goes to indicate "ideological capture" on a scale even the universities can't match. It only takes a handful of "DEI officials" at a large institution to chain the entire organization down to rules that violate the 1st Amendment.
The American Association of Realtors represents 1.5 MILLION MEMBERS. Don't you think maybe at least half of them (and probably more than that!) aren't interested in woke rules from the top down (I guarantee you they weren't voted on by the rank-and-file) constraining what they can and can't say on social media. Many of these realtors work in red suburbs or red states, I'm sure. Thus, something like this stands as a *test case* for what all of them can or cannot say in public. That seems rather momentous to me - it doesn't to you?
Nor it is a "strawman". The example was brought up by Mr. X about people in the UK being "arrested for mean tweets" and this is simply an American leftist analogue to that. And in fact, it DOES legislate morality - a style of morality called "intersectionality" which has been transmitted to us from academia since the 1980s.
You know, I wish there was a third electoral choice - one that provided both social liberties and financial liberties, like some kind of Libertarian Party that actually had a viable chance of winning. I think a lot of us wish that. But that just isn't going to happen in our two-party system. So we simply have to pick what we think is the best of the two choices. It's called OPTIMIZATION or SUFFICING.
So pipe down there, buddy boy. Or at least provide rational arguments and cogent debate without outrage and namecalling.

Re: Take it Down act
If you are using social media where you are promoting business, and you are mentioning or identifying with a national organization that you are a paying member of, you are subject to their rules. The real estate industry has a huge foot print of bad acts involving racist practices. Things like red lining and racial and religious covenants, long after they were made illegal. They have an absolute right to exclude members that violate the TOS. You can get kicked off the NRA websites and discussion boards, too. You can get kicked off Truth Social and Twitter (X). Private groups, regardless of size can dictate terms.
Speaking of dicks, those are something you will not be seeing in Florida starting in January. Pornhub is withdrawing from Florida because of the onerous age verification laws. They don't want to be responsible for collecting sensitive information about users in the state.
All this falls under the "be careful what you wish for, you might get it" umbrella. Trump managing to get 15 million from ABC has encourage him to go after others. So, if you depicted Trump or Boebert in panties and a bra, you might want to take those down...

I won't waste my time arguing with a fool.
The "words I say" mean nothing to you at all only because you don't want to hear them.
As tiny woke minorities, educated in just the proper places, take over every hobby, every industry and every professional association,
all you need to do is sit back and spout the party line: "a private [insert here] can do whatever it wants." And then you're automatically absolved
by the repression of speech taking place.
Sneakly, you don't solve 'redlining' or any other discriminatory problem by abrogating freedom of speech in TOS.
You solve it by calling people out for doing out and then taking them to court - it's a legal issue which goes against civil rights statutes.
And yes, I do understand it's technically not a First Amendment issue, which is why our friend HiDef thinks it's irrelevant to this thread.
But it's not irrelevant. The collusion of corporate control with government control is one of the main elements of both fascism *and* socialism.
And make no mistake, this is government control (the Twitter Files proved this, among other things) because there is a group of policymakers
in the government itself hellbent on imposing these policies.
If they can get huge private organizations and association to impose restrictive speech policies without having to apply much pressure, all the better for their agenda. It's just that much for them to surveil and control our lives.
And HiDef, my friend, as for 'hella', stop being such a language snob. It's been a hip hop phrase from Northern California since the 1980s. It's been the name of a popular indie rock band (whom I actually worked with on a concert) since the late 90s. It's also been an accepted adjective in the Oxford Dictionary for quite a while. And it's also the prefix for 10 to the 27th power!
I'm done in this thread (heh, as usual).

When the Labour government finally got in it turned out that their first priority wasn't to remove the laws that banned people from being massively racist and calling for violence on social media. But it's still not their fault that's the law.
