Jacky James' Submission (Showtime)

Has anyone watched the first short season (it's just six episodes) of Submission on Showtime, created by porn mogul (and strong advocate of female sex-positivity) Jacky James? It's definitely a very sophisticated, plot-laden fetish porn (so much so, that the owners of Showtime had to be stated as the "holders of records" for the purpose of the porn statute). It stars prominent biracial porn star Skin Diamond and actress Ashlyn Yennie (depicted below). Skin, especially, wears attire that wouldn't be out of place on any random SHIP villainess.

But it's supposed to be a much more accurate portrayal of the BDSM scene than one usually sees (in various mainstream episodes of TV shows..or in 50 Shades). Especially given that Jacky James knows that scene and worked with a BDSM "advisor" on the series. Actually, it reminds me quite a bit of the Sunstone comic book...which makes me wonder why Stjepan Sejic never tried to option Sunstone into a similiar series (or maybe he did, and it never flew?).

I've watched the first episode, which is basically an intro to all the characters where this secret BDSM scene exists in this vanilla suburban town. It's OK, so I was going to watch the rest over the next week or so.

I watched the first couple of episodes.
I, personally, found it to be excruciatingly dumb.

From what I recall (and it was a few months ago that I watched it), it's basically about these two young women who are beyond nymphomania. All the do, all they think about, all they talk about, is sex. 24-hours a day, seven days a week. In the very first episode, the main character walks in on another woman having sex basically in public in a video store and they see her watching them and just keep on going, like it's nothing.

Realistic? Even for porn, I found it impossible to believe. I can't roll my eyes hard enough to portray how ludicrous that is. :-P
