I started doing manips again. I was going to post this in comic book format but I just started learning how to make comics. I think most people would prefer them full size? Melissa will always be the only Supergirl (Skirt version) for me. She has the perfect damsel in distress facial expressions. Let me know what you guys think of the photo story. Vol-2 is almost done. Vol-3 really depends on how much material I can scrape from the interwebs?

Re: Supergirl Melissa Benoist Beaten & Enslaved
Hey all,
I need some input here, please?
I have enough material now to put together about 3 more volumes between 7 and 12 pages a piece, maybe more if I take the storyline in a new direction. As of now, I have the 2nd volume almost complete which is a continuation of volume one with the same characters. I would have had it done sooner but I got inspired and added some realistic effects and that in turn got my creative juices flowing which led to a longer story with more pages. It's really endless what you can do if you take the restraints off of your imagination. For example, I wasn't going to create any violent content with Melissa Benoist because she's a sweet girl with a bubbly personality and she's been a victim of domestic abuse, inflicted by an ex-boyfriend. I don't like blurring the lines between fantasy and reality lest I become a heartless, madman.
My superheroine fantasies can get quite violent but they are just fantasies while in reality I'm more of a clean-cut, do-gooder, Clark Kent type, LOL.
Okay, back on topic.
As anyone with a DeviantArt account knows you are prompted to monetize artwork every time you upload new content. So that got me thinking... would I be able to make money doing manips or would I have to create my own characters to avoid copyright? Also, with all the forums being flooded with AI generated content nowadays, does anyone think there's a market for upscaled old-school manips? I mean, not like the stuff where it looks like magazine cutouts were Scotch taped together. Yeah, I've seen stuff of that quality years ago.
I think what I've done so far is realistic and of high quality. All of the originals were done in 4K and above and then reduced to 1920 x 1080 which cuts the files sizes by 60 to 70%. I would never be able to do this without upscaling because there's just not enough high quality digital photographs that can be scraped from the Internet.
So my question is, would anyone pay a few bucks for this kind of material, either per volume (7 to 10 pages per volume) or a possibly a subscription fee if I were to crank out new content once or twice a month?

Do you know how it works? I see the account setup is free so how do they make money? Is there hidden fees or do you pay fees based on what you earn?

I have a little experience in the manip-making space, particularly of Supergirl based work (MB or HS version). Some is comic story work and some is one off peril shots. Regarding MB personally (or even HS for that matter) - I try and ensure that all my image work of her is while she is "in character" - that is to say - I don't trawl through paperazzi shots from her private life as MB or her public facing life as a celebrity. I think something like 99% of my work is either her as Kara Danvers or Supergirl. I have one image I borrowed from Waco - and a few from Homeland. Basically, all fantasy is aimed at the Supergirl character, never the person behind it.HiDef wrote: ↑1 year agoHey all,

I've not attempted to make money out of this material as none of the image components in the work is mine. The only thing I could claim is mine is the story (if any) and the overall new composition of a manipulation. I made work to promote chat in the forum (mostly a fail), explore what I could learn to do by myself (I am not trained in this work), and see how far I could go in terms of trying to make real looking manips (hit and miss!). My reward is seeing the work come together, especially if there is scope to make a story or a long scene and getting the occasional compliments or comment at the end of it.
Best of luck to you...

Same here, I also try to keep actresses in character at all times. Even penetration scenes can be done with the character in costume or at least a portion of the costume. I've seen a lot of stuff done where you would never know the character is a superheroine other than by a mention in the title or a quick mention in the storyline.
As for Melissa, I would never want her or her family members to see any of my content and that is a possibility with the Internet being what it is today. You never know, some jackwagon could repost some of it on one of her or a family member's social media page? I always tag my content as mature so to mitigate the chances of anything I mentioned above to occur.
I touched on the copyright subject above. I agree, manips are mostly other people's material so yeah, that is one of the dilemmas that has kept me from monetizing anything I create. I think the constant prompts to do so over at DeviantArt has clouded my judgement a bit. I have seen manips done with permission of the original producer and attribution is given. But so far what I've seen is free for anyone to download.
With that said, I don't feel at this time there's a large enough market for manips, at least not enough to keep me cranking them out. I have gotten a few new watchers from this photo-story over at DeviantArt and it has been favorited a few dozen times but not enough to make me think I would be able to monetize it.
Thank you for helping me make my decision.

Re: Supergirl Melissa Benoist Beaten & Enslaved
Yeah, I let my imagination get a lil' dark with this one but I draw the line at necro or mutilation. In my stories the heroine always lives to fight another day. I may allude to a possible fatality to increase the level of peril but the heroine always lives in the end. I think for the most part the superheroine genre is violent and a lot of the time, dark and sinister. There's no real element of peril without it.Abductorenmadrid wrote: ↑1 year agoWow, your Ursa's really gone to town on Supergirl in this story!

Re: Supergirl Melissa Benoist Beaten & Enslaved
Having fun adding sound effects. I plan to add more body movements in the future for realism but it's a painstakingly slow and sometimes tedious process. I think of it as being the digital equivalent of claymation except without the clay, each movement is an augmented snapshot added incrementally which requires a lot of VRAM. That's probably why there's not many artists recreating live action from static imagery. Although it's not as tedious as it used to be when I first started doing manips, software innovations have come a long way.
Here's another I did a while ago but never published it anywhere.

Ok, this is the longest one I've done so far. It needed to be longer to accommodate the sound bites. I think the sound effects makes them much more realistic without complex animation that requires thousands still images to make.

I'm glad you like my work, it's nice to get feedback.
On subject of Helen Slater, you're not going to find a lot of source material which makes it all that much more difficult to construct manips.
I recommend Affinity Photo V2 if you want to learn how to do manips. It's a much cheaper version of Photoshop and it's not subscription based. Once you buy it, you own the license for life. There are a multitude of free tutorials available online, that's how I learned.

Awesome work!!! I love the look and feel, they remind me of and take me back to the princess Donna and the Public Disgraced videos, if you ever wonder what would likely really happen to a super heroines if weakened enough to capture and fuck, I bet Public Disgrace series vids are what that would be, at least I hope it would be!!

I think a heroine being sexually dominated is the ultimate defeat, preferably by a villainess. It implies that the heroine not only has been defeated but is completely at the mercy of her captors to do as they please to her.

This one seems to be the most popular so I decided to improve upon it. I'm still working on making head movement more fluid and realistic but that requires a lot more frames and precise alignment with the audio. But this is still a big improvement on the original posted above.
